MICHIGAN, MI (WKZO) -- Forbes says Michigan is home to 12 of the richest Americans.  Its annual list of billionaires shows Amway co-founder Rich DeVos of Holland as the wealthiest in the state with a net worth of five-point-one billion dollars.

Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert is worth 3.5-billion up 2-billion in the past year after buying up a lot of downtown Detroit.  Roger Penske has taken the biggest hit in the last few years, because a lot of his money is tied up in auto dealerships.

Kalamazoo still has three billionaires.  Jon Stryker has 1.3 billion, his sister Rhonda has 2.8 billion and former Stryker CEO John Brown has 1.4 Billion.
