Tiger starter Drew Smyly tossed four shutout innings last night in Detroit’s 9-to-2 Grapefruit League victory over the Braves. The 23-year old lefty allowed 2-hits and fanned four, including striking out the side in the second. The outing extended his spring scoreless streak to nine innings. Smyly and Rick Porcello are competing for the fifth spot in the Tigers pitching rotation. Detroit, now 7-and-6, will host the Mets this afternoon in Lakeland
