SOUTH BEND (WKZO) -- One of the men who died on board that Jet that crashed into a row of homes in South Bend led the Oklahoma Sooners to two national football championships back in the 70’s. Former quarterback Steve Davis and his friend Wes Caves were killed. Two others on board and one person on the ground were injured.
NTSB spokesman Andrew Todd Fox says it may take a year to do the crash investigation, but they are off to a good start.
This witness says it happened without warning and was all over in seconds.
Power and gas service has been restored to the neighborhood, and most of the evacuees were allowed to return home last evening.
