LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will test livestock and deer in a ten-mile radius of a Saginaw County dairy farm for bovine Tuberculosis. State agriculture officials say lab tests have confirmed the disease in several cows after one tested positive during slaughter. The farm is well outside of the bovine TB region of northern Michigan. MDARD will hold two meetings for farmers in the area on April 8th in Merrill.
