The Red Wings three game winning streak ended last night when they were shutout by the Sharks 2-to-0 at San Jose. Jimmy Howard allowed both goals on 24 shots, as Detroit came up short on its effort to make it a 4-and-0 road trip.

The Red Wings rest up now until Sunday afternoon when they host the Central-Division leading Chicago Blackhawks at Joe Louis Arena.

In minor league hockey tonight in the ECHL at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, the K-Wings take on the Ft. Wayne Komets.
