AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- The next generation minivan from Chrysler is well on its way to becoming a reality but officials will not say whether the vehicle will carry a Dodge or Chrysler name plate.
CEO Sergio Marchionne earlier announced the automaker would just produce one minivan going forward. Sales of the Dodge Grand Caravan continue to remain strong and it is still the nation's best-selling minivan.
Chrysler first introduced the minivan in 1983 with the Plymouth Voyager. Automakers have sold over one-million minivans each year for the past 12 years with Chrysler selling the majority of those vans.
