KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo can be a tough town to drive around if you aren’t familiar with its one way streets. It will become tough for everybody this Sunday morning when the Kalamazoo Marathon will be blocking some major roadways, closing some altogether for several hours. Race Director Blaine Lam says some signs are already out.
He says in some cases it will just be lanes that will be closed. Stretches of both Riverview and Parkview will be closed completely during the busiest parts of the race.
The Race will tie up or restrict traffic from Borgess Hospital on the East side all the way to the BTR Park on the city’s far west side, obstructing almost every major street in between.
If you must drive Sunday morning, leave early, pay attention to the direction of police officers and be patient.
