EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - First, House Minority leader Tim Griemel called Speaker Jace Bolger a terrorist and a bully. Now Oakland County Executive Brooks Patterson has used even harsher language to describe the Speaker, and the way he conducts his office in Lansing, refering to him as "Adolf Bolger" during Friday's taping of Off The Record at the WKAR-TV studios. The criticism was relentless and pointed. To illustrate his analogy, Patterson reached in his pocket, grabbed a comb and put it over his upper lip, depicting a Hitler moustache, and referred to the Speaker during the rest of the interview as Herr Bolger.
The attack is all that more remarkable because Patterson is also a Republican The flap prompted the Governor to issue a press release calling for civility.
Patterson recently survived a bad wreck that left his driver a quadriplegic and had prepared an 11 page statement for the committee opposing reforms to the no-fault system.
