Lion’s cornerback Darius Slay will miss rookie mini-camp this weekend following knee surgery. Head coach Jim Schwartz said it isn't a long-term injury, and that the second round pick from Mississippi State should be ready for the start of training camp in August. Meanwhile, former Detroitwide receiver Titus Young was reportedly arrested twice in a 15-hour span on Sunday. Young was pulled over early Sunday morning in California for making an illegal turn. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
After being booked, issued a citation and later released, Young was arrested again that same afternoon. Young was caught climbing over the fence of a local tow yard looking for his impounded car. He was arrested for burglary and booked at the same detention center. The Lions waived Young in February after he was disciplined multiple times last season. The St. Louis Rams claimed the 23-year-old, but then released him ten days later.
