COLDWATER, MI (WTVB ) - Despite rain at the end of the day Saturday and cool and windy conditions Sunday, organizers of the 26th Annual Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show were very pleased with the turnout at this past weekend’s show. Almost 950 cars were on the fairgrounds Saturday and 4,500 spectators came through the gate over the two days. For the spectators, that was one of the largest turnouts ever. Over 100 cars were showed up Sunday despite the chilly weather.
While there was a mix of sun and clouds for most of the day Saturday, a shower moved in just as cars were lining up for the cruise at 4 pm. Despite the rain, over 100 cars participated in the cruise. The planned after-cruise downtown party was cancelled by the city of Coldwater, although the scheduled band moved inside Omar’s Bar to play for several hours.
Net profits from the Swap Meet and Car Show are donated back non-profit organizations in the area.
