COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - It appears gas prices might have peaked out before the Memorial Day weekend. Gas-buddy.com’s Patrick DeHaan, who just last week predicted prices would be going up to $4, is now saying that we can expect prices to start sliding downward before the weekend. DeHaan says some gas stations have already begun to drop their prices. He says it’s because things are calming down along the pipeline after the transition to summer blends. DeHaan also says the $4 a gallon some drivers saw at some pumps this week should be the worst of it for the year and its all downhill from here, barring any of the usual calamities.
As of Thursday morning, gas prices in Coldwater ranged from $3.83 to $3.85 a gallon. hat was the same story in Sturgis, which traditionally has lower prices than Coldwater. In Bronson, www.gasbuddy.com says prices ranged from $3.78 to $3.79 a gallon. Some stations in the area had prices as high as $3.99 a gallon on Wednesday.
