Coldwater and Bronson both lose in district volleyball finals on Saturday

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - The high school girls volleyball season ended for Branch County teams Saturday, as both Bronson and Coldwater lost in their district final matches. In the Class C district final at Bronson, the 6th ranked Lady Vikings fell to top ranked Mendon 3-1. It was the fourth time the Hornets beat Bronson.  It happened twice in regular season league play, and last weekend in the St Joe Valley Conference tournament.

In Class B, host Coldwater lost 3-1 to Three Rivers Saturday evening.  The Wildcats took the opening game 25-22, but Coldwater came back to win game two 25-22. The Cardinals struggled with serve receive in games three and four,falling 25-13 and 25-18.

Three Rivers now advances to play Berrien Springs Tuesday at 7 pm in the regional semi-final at Plainwell. The other semi-final features Plainwell against Harper Creek at 5 pm.
