LANSING, MI (WTVB) - The day after Veterans Day, State Rep. Kenneth Kurtz and Sen. Bruce Caswell on Tuesday welcomed Anna Lockwood, the state Commander for the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, to the state Capitol. Kurtz said it was a great honor to welcome Lockwood to Lansing. According to Kurtz, her work with men and women who have given so much to protect our country and the promises of freedom we offer is tremendous, and he looks forward to continuing to work with organizations like hers to provide services to our veterans once they return home.

Lockwood said she hopes to continue working with state lawmakers to provide greater services to returning veterans. Lockwood added that as state commander for the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, she wanted to visit the Capitol in Lansing and meet with  elected leaders to share with them that her organization is always ready to serve those in need.
