DETROIT (WKZO) -- A pair of problems with the Chevrolet Malibu has forced General Motors to issue a recall.
The automaker says nearly 15-thousand 2013 vehicles with the option of an eight-way power front seat and passenger seat has a wiring problem that has led to at least two fires. It appears the wiring harness is wearing against the seat frame, causing the problem.
The second recall involves over 44-thousand 2014 models where the heating and air conditioning controls may not work properly. No accidents have been reported to GM due to these problems.
