LANSING, MI (WTVB) - A bill has been passed in the Michigan House that would allow restaurant patrons to bring their own wine into dining establishments. Currently, bringing one's own wine into a restaurant is illegal in Michigan, but the measure passed overwhelmingly in the House. Republican House Speaker Jase Bolger from Marshall says customers would, however, have to pay a fee to the restaurant if they bring their own. The restaurants would already have to have a liquor license from the state.
