DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The NFC North rivalry between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears was revved up a bit more last night in Detroit when Lion’s vice chairman Bill Ford, Jr. referred to the Bears as a bunch of thugs. Ford spoke with the media following his appearance at a fund raising dinner at Ford Field. He also praised the home crowd and what he called an electric atmosphere during last weekend’s win over Chicago which improved Detroit’s record to 3-1 and into a first place tie in the North with the Bears. Ford went even so far as to predict the Lions would win Sunday at Green Bay. Detroit has dropped 22 straight road games against the Packers.
