Week Five kicked off last night in Cleveland where the Browns beat the Buffalo Bills 37-24. The surprising Browns have won 3 straight to improve to 3-2 while the Bills drop to 2-and-3. The news on ex-Michigan State quarterback Brian Hoyer's knee injury isn't expected to be good. NFL Network reports Cleveland is concerned he tore knee ligaments. Hoyer left the win over the Bills in the first quarter after being tackled while sliding. He is scheduled to get an MRI.
The Lions continue to gear up for their Sunday matchup with the Packers in Green Bay. Yesterday, safeties Glover Quin and Louis Delmas returned to the practice field, but cornerback Chris Houston and receiver Calvin Johnson were held out of drills for the second day in a row. Detroit is looking for its first road win against the Packers since 1991 and heads into the game with a 3-1 record, while the Packers are 1-and-2 on the season.
