OAKLAND, CA (WTVB) - The Tigers and A’s play tonight at Oakland in Game One of their best of five American League Division Series with 21-game winner Max Scherzer on the mound for Detroit facing the A’s Bartolo Colon. Take a nap today. Tonight’s first pitch is set for 9:37 pm. Tomorrow night at Oakland, the start is a bit earlier, going off at shortly after 9 pm. The times for the games in Detroit beginning Monday haven’t yet been announced.

The Division Series began Thursday with both Game One’s in the National League on the schedule and both ended up with easy wins for the Cardinals and Dodgers. In the first game, in St. Louis, the Cardinals routed the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-1. Then last night in Atlanta, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Braves 6-1. The other American League Division Series opens tonight in Boston with the Red Sox taking on the Tampa Bay Rays.
