SAN DIEGO, CA (WTVB) - Week Six in the NFL wrapped up with Monday Night Football in San Diego where the Chargers knocked off the Indianapolis Colts 19-9. San Diego is now 3-and-3 while the Colts dipped to 4-and-2.
Meanwhile, Lions coach Jim Schwartz said yesterday it’s too soon to tell if star receiver Calvin Johnson’s ailing right knee is better or worse off after Johnson was on the field Sunday for about half the time with Detroit’s offense as they beat the Browns 31-17. Johnson sat out the Lions loss the week before at Green Bay. This weekend, Detroit hosts Cincinnati at Ford Field. And the Lions yesterday announced they had released receiver Patrick Edwards, the undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston.
