QUINCY, MI (WTVB) - The Quincy Village Council, at their regular October meeting last night, approved the renewal of the village’s current health care plan which takes effect December 1, 2013. The Council said it acted more than a month early to allow staff and council time to work through the changes the Affordable Care Act will bring to the plan. The intent is to complete the changeover to the updated plan when they’re more familiar with details of Obamacare.
Also last night, Doug Campbell thanked the Village Manager and Police Department for responding to his concerns on traffic speed on Liberty Street near the schools. He encouraged the council to review its options on permanently lowering the speed limit, which is currently 25 mph around the schools.
