LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan State Police are reminding all drivers that this week is National Teen Driver Safety Week. According to Michigan crash data, nearly 30-percent of all crashes involving drivers between16 and 20-years-old happen after school, and over 15-thousand people were involved in an accident with a teen between 3 and 6 p.m. last year. To help, Michigan's Strive For A Safer Drive program expanded this year to 35 schools in 15 counties so far, with a final deadline of November 1st.
