QUINCY, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State Police are hoping for tips from the public in Branch County in helping to solve a pair of reckless firearm discharge incidents where bullets traveled through homes. They happened in the Archer Lake area in Algansee Township. Fortunately, no one was injured. Investigators say the first case was discovered on August 22nd when it was learned a bullet had travelled through a bedroom of a house on Crockett Drive, located on the east side of Archer Lake.
Troopers took a similar complaint from the same area on September 23rd with the house in question on Archer View Drive, again on the east side of the lake. They believe someone is firing the weapon from another residence in the area or possibly from a boat on Archer Lake. Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Michigan State Police at 517-278-2373 or Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP.
