LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Snyder is hailing passage of a resolution supporting the continued implementation of Common Core Standards for K-12 students by the state Senate. Some Tea Party Republicans had issues with Common Core due what they say will be a loss of local control over the curriculum. That lead to the resolution being tied up in committee. It's now before the House.
