DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - It appears it’s not a question of whether or not Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will be fined but more about how much of a hit he’ll take in the wallet for a personal foul he committed in Detroit’s season opening win Sunday over the Vikings. Some sources are even suggesting Suh could be facing a suspension for a low hit on Minnesota center John Sullivan, who Suh cut down at the knees during an interception return by the Lions. Suh was flagged for an illegal low block on the controversial play, which wiped out a Detroit touchdown. Suh has been fined numerous times for aggressive hits and behavior since coming into the league in 2010. Just last week, after his teammates elected him a captain for this season, Suh said the Lions have to stay away from unnecessary penalties if they want to compete at a championship level.
Detroit’s second game on the schedule is on the road Sunday at Arizona.
