DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - Daniel Cleary will remain in Detroit after all. The 34-year-old forward had agreed to join the Philadelphia Flyers with a three-year contract earlier this week, but had a change of heart and has decided to remain with the Red Wings rather than uproot his family. Cleary turned down a deal worth $2.75 million per year with the Flyers and signed a one-year, $1.75 million dollar pact with Detroit. He has spent the past eight seasons in Hockeytown and helped the Red Wings to their last Stanley Cup title in the spring of 2008.
