COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - 100 years old and still growing. That’s the story for Branch County Bureau, which held its Annual Meeting in Coldwater last night. Local Farm Bureau President Brian AcMoody says there is strength in numbers for farmers.
Branch County Farm Bureau currently has 697 members. Farm Bureau members passed a number of resolutions last night, including one that calls for Amish buggies to be equipped with rubber tires and their horses to wear rubber shoes, to help prevent additional damage to county roads.
Among the members honored for being 50 year members were Nelson and Irene Sperry, Louise Russell, Dick and Linda Knirk, and John and Doris George. The group heard a presentation from Matt Avery, who recently spent two weeks in the Ukraine as part of a tour organized by Farm Bureau.
