COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - A couple of traffic accidents last night in the Coldwater area could be put in the category of looking worse than they turned out to be. Just before 8 o’clock, Coldwater City Police say a westbound pickup on U-S-12 was t-boned by another pickup that was northbound on Butters getting ready to head onto Western Avenue which it ran through a red light, causing the collision. A passenger in the pickup that was on U.S. 12 was taken by Life Care Ambulance to the Community Health Center of Branch County to be checked out but only minor injuries were reported.
Then around 3 am this morning, 9-1-1 put out a priority one alert with a report of a vehicle rolled over along North Union City Road at the curve near Dayburg Road north of Coldwater. The car ended up on its roof but when deputies got there, there was no one in or around the vehicle. The plates came back to a Taylor, Michigan resident. No word yet if they located the driver involved in the accident.
