BRONSON (WTVB) - Early education initiatives are bursting through to the top of many learning priority listings and in Branch County, the latest evidence of that is about to be showcased in Bronson. Next week, there’s an open house at the Bronson Chicago Street School Early Childhood Center. It’s happening on Thursday afternoon from 4-to-5 p.m. with a short presentation at 4:30. School personnel, business representatives, community members, parents, grandparents, and anyone who would like to tour the new facility is invited. The Center is a collaborative effort of Bronson Community Schools and the Branch Intermediate School District. The building houses Head Start, Great Start Readiness preschool classrooms, and parent-child activities for children birth to age five. Space for the programs is provided by Bronson Community Schools, with renovations financed by Head Start, Early Head Start and the Michigan Department of Education through the Great Start Readiness Program.
