LUDINGTON (WTVB) - Suspected cop killer Eric Knysz has apparently confessed to the shooting death of Michigan State Trooper Paul Butterfield. TV-8 is reporting that they obtained transcripts from the court hearing that produced arrest warrants. The documents also show that his wife, Sarah had opportunities to escape and contact police after the shooting, and that she chose not to. In fact she removed the battery from her phone so she could not be traced. The transcripts also described the capture of the pair at a gas station, when Knysz was shot in the leg when he refused to drop a handgun.
