BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - A Bronson man is facing arraignment in Branch County District Court after being arrested on a soliciting a child for immoral purposes charge. Bronson Police say a 15-year old called 9-1-1 and said he was playing basketball around 8 pm Saturday evening at Douglas Park when an older man approached him and made multiple solicitations for sexual acts. Patrolman Chip Hovarter responded to the scene and said he learned that the teen fled the park and the 43-year old suspect continued to follow and made additional advances. Police say the man was then taken into custody and is currently being held in the County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Details of the arrest were not released. No injuries were reported. The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment later today.
