DETROIT (WKZO) -- The United Auto Workers Union is expected to make a final decision on due increases within the next few weeks.
The organization recently hosted a series of town hall meetings at local shops to discuss increasing dues roughly 25-percent. The union is reportedly considering the hike in an effort to boost its strike fund.
UAW-Ford Department Vice President Jimmy Settles says they’re having conversations with members to see how they would feel about an increase. If the hike is implemented, it would be the first increase since the late 1960s.
