BRONSON (WTVB) - Four young people escaped serious injury and another passenger in the car wasn’t hurt late last night in Branch County, even though their 2003 Pontiac Grand Am was totaled after rolling over several times in Bethel Township. The crash happened around 11:30 on South Snow Prairie Road near Cranson Road. The driver, 18-year old Devan Marie Neidzielski of Coldwater, told State Police she swerved to avoid a deer in the road. She was treated and released from the Community Health Center of Branch County as were 19-year old Peter Simmons of Union City, 18-year old Breylene Mains of Coldwater, and 22-year old Jacob Panarisi of Reading. A 19-year old woman from Coldwater avoided injury. Troopers said Neidzielski was cited for hazardous driving and also said alcohol was not a factor in the accident. It’s not known for sure if they were wearing seat belts. State Police were assisted by the Bronson Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance.
