COLDWATER (WTVB) - One of the oldest church communities in the history of Coldwater is in transition with officials hoping this holy time of the year for Christianity will enrich their journey going forward. St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church has announced it’s Easter Celebration Mass schedule as well as other Holy Week services beginning tomorrow with Palm Sunday.
St. Charles will be welcoming a new Pastor by mid-summer and is encouraging current and past parishioners to meet with the parochial administrator assigned to the pastor search to meet him to strengthen their faith with conversation about the coming changes for the parish.
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church was one of the first churches in Coldwater and was established in the late eighteen forties as people began to settle in the area. The Church has gone through many adversities over time, from buildings being demolished by explosions to the testing of the people’s faith within the church. St. Charles says it has always found a way to rebuild and become a stronger environment for people to practice their Catholic faith. It is with this spirit of rebuilding that St. Charles has invited the public to Easter services at the church.
