BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - The search is underway in the Bronson School District for a new superintendent of schools following the announcement last month by Jim Modert that he would be stepping down in June at the end of the current academic year. The Bronson Board of Education has asked the public to be part of the selection process as well as having input from the school’s staff and administration and that includes an invitation to meet tonight at 6:30 pm in the junior senior high school library with the consultant the board has enlisted to assist in the search.
Dr. Rodney Green with the Michigan Association of School Boards will help develop the profile of the ideal candidate to succeed Modert. Green’s consult will also be based on an on-line survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/bronsonsearchsurvey) with the responses sent directly to the MASB in Lansing for tabulation. The Bronson School Board says it will publicly consider the input received to develop a candidate profile and conduct public interviews with the expectation that a new superintendent will be selected sometime in June.
