QUINCY, M (WTVB) - All parents and students of incoming preschool, developmental kindergarten, and kindergarteners are invited to attend a free Learning Fair event at Jennings Elementary School on Thursday, April 17 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m., with dinner served from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
This is a free event for any child age 3-5 years old to learn about school programs available to students next year and age change for kindergarten. Hands-on activities for the kids will be available while parents learn about program options for 2014-2015 school year.
Many vendors will also be at the event to educate parents about their services including: Branch District Library, Branch, Hillsdale, and St. Joseph Health Agency, Great Start Collaborative, Branch County United Way, Community Health Center of Branch County, Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, MSU Extension-We Can!, Quincy Municipal Service, Quincy Police and Fire Department, Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Council, Early On, Safe Kids, Chartwells, Dr. Matthew Christopher, DDS, Love and Logic, School Booster Club, and the Branch County Children’s Museum.
Free food will be provided by ConAgra, Branch County United Way, Chartwells and Branch County Head Start with in kind donations from Wal-Mart Distribution #6043. There will also be giveaways and door prizes. This event brought to you by the joint preschool partnership of Great Start Collaborative, Bronson Community Schools, Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program, Coldwater Community Schools, Branch Intermediate School District, Branch County United Way, and Quincy Community Schools.
