(WNFL)- Matt Garza will pitch a simulated game tomorrow. If it goes well, manager Ron Roenicke says Garza will return to the Brewers' starting rotation. He's been on the disabled list since August fifth with a strained left oblique muscle. The plan is for Garza to throw 45 to 50 pitches, facing hitters for the first time since his injury. Roenicke was considering a minor league rehab start -- but with the Brewers on the West Coast through Sunday, he said the long flights might have been a problem. When he returns, Garza will be on a lower pitch count. Roenicke said the Brewers should have more relievers on hand following the September first roster expansion to 40 players.
