BLOOMINGTON, IN (WTVB) - Super Bowl weekend saw half of the nation’s top ten ranked teams go down to defeat including number-10 Michigan falling 63-52 yesterday afternoon at Indiana. Yogi Ferrell was too much for the Wolverines to handle, pouring in 27 points for the Hoosiers, including 7-for-8 from beyond the arc and he missed only one other shot from the field. Indiana snapped Michigan’s 10-game winning streak while dealing the Wolverines their first Big Ten loss of the season.
Derrick Walton Jr. scored 13 points for Michigan, which drops to 16-5 overall and 8-1 in conference play. That leaves U-of-M tied for first in the league with number 7 Michigan State, which was upset 64-60 at Georgetown. Top-ranked Arizona suffered its first loss of the season Saturday 60-58 at California.
