BANGOR (WTVB) - There’s been another roof collapse in West Michigan and with it a big part of the social life of Bangor in Van Buren County has been buried in a pile of shattered beams, fractured ceiling panels, insulation and tons and tons of snow. It happened at Lariat Lanes, where owner Dick Hensley says it occurred just hours before the eight lane alley had been packed with league bowlers. He says all that’s over for the season, and he isn’t sure yet whether he will be able to rebuild. The bowling Alley has been a fixture in the town since 1956. It all came crashing down, despite having a pitched roof. Just another lasting scar from the winter of 2014.
