HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) - The list of people filing to run in the August Republican primary to succeed term limited GOP 58th District Michigan House Representative Ken Kurtz of Coldwater continues to grow. Leutheuser is a life long resident of Hillsdale County who provides a list of wide experience in community service. He and his wife Laura have 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
In the most recent Secretary of State 2014 unofficial primary candidate listing, those who have also filed to run for the Kurtz seat are Tim Hart Haberl of Quincy, Brad Benzing of Hillsdale, Stephen Besson of Litchfield, Hal Nottingham of Quincy, and Rochelle Ray of Hillsdale. Another announced candidate, although not indicated on the Secretary of State page, is Coldwater City Councilwoman Heather Peet. The candidate filing deadline for the primary is April 22nd.
