GREEN BAY, WI (WTVB ) - Wildcard weekend wrapped up yesterday with two more playoff games and now it’s on to the second round of postseason play with the divisional round coming up next on the road to Super Bowl 48. Last night at frigid Lambeau Field in Green Bay, the 49’ers got the game winning 33-yard field goal as time expired giving San Francisco a 23-20 victory over the Packers. The temperature at kickoff was five-degrees with a wind chill of 10 below zero. The 49’ers will travel to Carolina to face the Panthers next Sunday.
Also yesterday, the San Diego Chargers outscored the Bengals 20-0 in the second half to pull out a 27-10 win over the Bengals at Cincinnati. San Diego advances to face the Broncos in Denver in the second round on Sunday.
Also advancing are the Colts, who completed the second biggest comeback in postseason history, rallying from 28 down Saturday to edge the Kansas City Chiefs at home, 45-44. Indianapolis will face the Patriots next Saturday in Foxborough. And New Orleans is moving on as the Saints used a field goal as time expired to clip the Philadelphia Eagles on the road 26-24. New Orleans next travels to face the Seahawks in Seattle.
