NEW YORK, NY (WTVB) -The Detroit Pistons fell to Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks 89-85 last night at Madison Square Garden. Detroit lost its fifth in-a-row as Anthony knocked down six triples on his way to 34 points. The Pistons missed 16 of their 19 three point attempts while shooting 37% from the field. Josh Smith scored a team-high 21 points for Detroit with 12 rebounds, five assists and eight turnovers.

The Pistons, now 14-21, play tonight at Toronto.
