BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - There’s a new school board president in Bronson following Monday’s unexpected resignation of trustee Ron Hostetler. At the Bronson Board of Education’s annual organizational meeting Monday night, Rick Miller was selected President and Deb Balowski Vice-President. Hostetler, who had been on the Board since 2006 and was President for several years, cited family matters for his decision to step down.
The Bronson School system is now taking applications to fill the board vacancy. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a resident and registered voter in the Bronson School district. The deadline application is Monday, February Third and the Board has set a Special Meeting for February 10th to make the appointment. The new trustee will serve until the end of this year and may be elected in November to a full 6 year term beginning January 1, 2015.
