COLDWATER (WTVB) - Much of the attention this week heading up to Thursday night’s State of the State address focused on Republican initiatives for Michigan. Next week in Branch County, the political slant will shift to a mostly Democratic outlook, as least the views of one soon to retire U.S. Senator. Michigan’s Carl Levin will be visiting Coldwater on Tuesday. The Branch County Democratic Party will be hosting him for an hour late in the morning at the Branch Area Careers Center. From there, Levin moves on to Coldwater High School as the long serving lawmaker who has specialized in military and foreign affairs continues his farewell tour of Michigan.
