ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) - Number-21 Michigan held on last night at home to knock off tenth ranked Iowa 75-67 at Crisler Center. The Wolverines stayed perfect in the Big Ten and made it back-to-back wins over top ten opponents for the first time since 1992. 14-4 Michigan was coming off a victory versus then third ranked Wisconsin on Saturday. Nik Stauskas led the way in the win last night with 26 points, five rebounds and five assists. It was the Wolverines eighth straight win after losing at home to top ranked Arizona on Dec. 14th. So the stage is now set for Saturday night’s showdown between unbeaten conference in-state rivals with Michigan at number-3 Michigan State.
Also last night in the Big Ten, Minnesota handed Wisconsin its third straight loss, beating the Badgers 81-68. Tonight’s schedule includes Western Michigan at Kent State.
