DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - Reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer says a contract extension with the Tigers isn't imminent. The right-hander agreed last week to a one-year deal for more than $15 million to avoid arbitration. Scherzer added during the kickoff to the team's winter caravan that he wants to remain in Detroit. Scherzer went 21-and-3 with a 2.90 ERA in 2013.
