DALLAS, TX (WTVB) - Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby thinks cheating in college sports is too easy these days. He told reporters during the Big 12 Football Media Day in Dallas on Monday that the current system is flawed. According to Bowlsby, enforcement is broken, noting that the infractions committee hasn’t had a hearing in almost a year while adding that it’s not an understatement to say that right now, cheating pays. Bowlsby believes that cheaters have gotten "very sophisticated" in how they move money around, but doesn't think Big 12 coaches are involved in any schemes. Bowlsby is against paying football and basketball players because it doesn't recognize the efforts of other student-athletes.
