WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- U.S. Senator Carl Levin is pushing to make a small business lending program created in 2010 permanent. The Detroit Democrat has introduced a bill to that effect, touting its effectiveness in the Upper Peninsula and Detroit. Levin says intermediary lenders in those areas have received one-million dollars through the program for small business loans.
