LANSING, MI (WTVB) - The Michigan Department of Human Services is changing training and communications procedures due to the murder of eight-year-old girl. Tameria Greene was removed from the care of her mother Semeria Greene in 2010, but then stabbed to death two years later after a court restored the mother's custody. Bob Wheeton with DHS says the reform outcome will be those involved in protecting children being on the same page. The employment of two people has been terminated and Wayne County DHS now meets quarterly with Detroit Police, Wayne County prosecutors, and Wayne County Circuit Court representatives. Semeria Greene is serving at least 23 years in prison.
