NEW YORK, NY (WTVB) - The NHL will be going outdoors again next season, but for less games than it did this year.  John Shannon of Sportsnet reports that the league will hold two outdoor games in the 2014-15 season, down from five that were held this past season. The NHL has already confirmed that the Washington Capitals will host the 2015 Winter Classic. No opponent or venue have been confirmed, but it's likely the game will be played at Nationals Park.

Last season, in addition to the Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, the NHL held four "Stadium Series" games.
