BRAZIL (WTVB) - Team USA forward Clint Dempsey is considering wearing a protective mask to guard his broken nose when the U.S. plays again on Sunday. Dempsey was hurt in Monday's 2-1 opening win over Ghana. Forward Jozy Altidore also left the match with a hamstring injury and following an MRI exam yesterday, his status for Sunday's game against Portugal is uncertain. Portugal, meanwhile, lost one of its starting defenders for the rest of the tournament with a thigh injury suffered in their 4-0 loss to Germany on Monday.

Yesterday’s World Cup play included Mexico fighting for a hard-earned scoreless draw with host nation Brazil. Today’s action will include defending champion Spain looking to bounce back from a thrashing at the hands of the Dutch when it meets Chile.
